A series on canola....
Posted By: Heinrich Lohmann, 07-19-2007, 08:24 PM

We have had very warm, humid and hazy days and the canola bloom is not going to last much longer. So this morning I went out and took a few pictures anyway, the sky was not what I was looking for but unless the weather changes in the next few days this will be it for this year:

Let me know what you think, comments are always welcome.

Heinrich

The colour is amazing.

First shot has a great composition.

Really nice to see colour from this end of world.

That first photograph is very, very pleasing to the eye! The vibrance and the life in those yellow fields just leaps off the screen... an even more dramatic experience in person, I'm sure.

Let me jump on the hay wagon too and say "nice shots!"

Now I hate to be a party pooper but I do notice a dust spot or two. I moved it around to make sure it wasn't my monitor but one rather large one is center (horizontally) and down from the top about 1/4 of the picture. It is very visible on the first shot. A few more smaller spots to the right and a bit higher.

Thank you Nikhil for the kind words and yes the real essence of these huge fields is hard to capture.

Take care, Heinrich

Hi Jeff and thank you. After you pointed it out I did find the "large"one in the middle but the other ones seem to elude me but I'll clean the sensor just the same. If I would have seen it I would of course have cloned it out, must pay better attention. :-)

Take care, Heinrich

Wow... that is a lot of flowers! Great shots Heinrich and I hope you don't have allergies because that would totally make a man fall to his knees if they did.

Hi Heinrich, Those fields are really beautiful in bloom I like the second and third with the flowers up close in the foreground and the fields behind. Now I know where the canola oil comes from!(don't let the bees in your car)

All winners as usual Heinrich. You certainly have an eye for photography. Two and three are my favorites. Those are mighty fine compositions.
