You wouldn't mind posting your settings used would you? Also I'd say flip the picture so the hover fly's head is in the lower left instead of upper right.

The details are on the photos before being put on Photobucket but disappear when they go on for some strange reason.

Very nice looking photo, the colors are really great and the black background really make this pop. However, it does look slightly blurry and that does hurt the photo a little. But it is a great photo none the less because it is very difficult to get macro shots this small.

The flash is not your friend here, it's what is causing those annoying little overexposed blots of white all over your photo. It's also making everything else way too dark or way too light. It's a nice photo of the fly, but it's just too much in your face (especially due to the effects of the flash on it).

Yes I take your point and avoid using the Flash as much as I can, might make a diffuser for it.

yes photbucket does that.

Those would be the settings as that's what I usually have them set at so you picked that out correctly.

i use photbucketbucket myself and i got tired of the EXIF data disappearing so i downloaded https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3905

works great
