Again with the Vivitar 55/2.8 1:1 macro lens. I must say that this lens is a absolute gem. It's sharp, easy to use and light though excellent built. It has no 'A' setting, but in the end I don't miss it on this one, especially not when using my home built macro diffuser.

Photos are cropped.

Very nice shots, you sure are getting good at these macro shots. The first one is great with all that detail and color in the background, but my favorite is the second for sure. The details in the eyes and little hairs in absolutly amazing and you did a great job capturing it. If you don't mind me asking what are you using to light up these shots as it does not look like regular sunlight? If you are using one of those macro lens flashes I am going to pick one up ASAP as these photos really are great.

Thanks for sharing.

Ugh, the hairy eyeballs in the second shot almost made me lose my lunch. If it wasn't such a great shot I wouldn't have noticed the hair.

Thanks a lot Cory, much appreciated! I used the onboard flash with these, in combination with a home built diffuser like the one you can find here in post #65. This guy makes unbelievable macros and I use his flash set-up. And: it's very (read VERY!) cheap, only about $2....
