For the second year now, this forum has a P52 challenge. Every week a new theme
is announced, and all of you can submit your best picture that fits within the theme.
There is only one important rule: the photo should be made in the running week!!

This makes P52 a very nice competition. It's really a challenge to make a good photo
within the boundaries of the given theme and within a week. This weeks theme is "FLOWERS".

I think it is not too difficult, so please, don't hesitate and post your best flower shot
(only one best!) in this thread:P52 - Flowers.
Read the competition rules in the first post , where you can find next weeks themes too.
Hope to see many additional entries! It's open to all of you: old cracks and newcomers, all of you!

Probably you will gain ETERNAL FAME, by winning this weeks challenge.....

I hope you don't mind getting this one rescued from the mud of old revived threads?
Thank you! You are still invited to join the P52 of this week, see the OP!

I like this shot rense, it looks like a dollop of custard upon the centre of a flower
Good reminder about the photo challenge too.

Very nice shots, the colors really are great and I really like the soft focus used on this shot. On top of that the bokeh look really good behind the flower.

Well done!

I've got no flowers in bloom in my neck of the woods yet.

You could buy some flowers in the flower shop? Dried flowers? Or ice-flowers? There must be a way to find some flowers around there in Ontario....

I guess I could buy the wife some flowers, but then she would think I'm guilty of something.

Haha Eccs, that's a good one. I would say, that's not worth it. But still: others can send in their flower shots

Rense, nicely done with this capture.
Unique and interesting perspective as well as a fine, smooth result with your PP work. I do think the reduced clarity works well here, particularly balancing the highlights and textures.

This is a very unique picture. It has an interesting perspective as well. My guess is that you PP it to smoothen the picture till it is fine, and the resulting picture comes out this way.
From the naked eye, IMO, it look a wee "soft". But that may be the way you wanted the picture to be.
Anyway, you did a good job in balancing the highlights and textures

Oh BTW, it is a good reminder about the photo challenge too.

Have a nice day.

Cheers.
