I don't quite think that your white balance is quite right. [/sarcasm]. Realistically, I don't think that this effect really works for this photo, it just doesn't look right to me and it really isn't that artistic or interesting on its own. I don't know, the blue coating just looks kind of silly to me.

Actually, the blue lighting effect was my cat's idea. She & her brother had just finished viewing the Sci-Fi classic "Feline Invaders From Outer Space", in which a strong blue light emitted from their spacecraft to hypnotize all cats in it's path. She all but insisted that I post it.
This was the photo before she got her grubby little paws on it.....

Wow, very nice shot! The colors are really great and I really like the sharpness and contrast as well. The cat in the photo looks really cute and since I am a cat lover I love this photo. I actually like the blue one the best, but blue is my favorite color.
