My Business Trip to Victoria, BC *Large pics*
Posted By: FireMate, 07-22-2007, 08:24 AM

Well, brought my camera with me to Victoria. As you may have read in another recent post, I also picked up some lenses and a camera for a good deal at a pawn shop in that area as well.
Nonetheless, here are some of the pics that I took whilst there!

In the plane, at night, taking shots with only a little bit of moonlight lighting the way and a steady prop against the window (please note, most photos never turned out. The plane would hit a pocket of air, some clouds moved too quickly, etc. Lots of trial and error)

Hotel Empress, attached to the building where I worked this week:

Just touring around the city at this point:

Great Shots Firemate. The plane shots are fantasitc and yes they are hard to get. I love the tour of the City. Nice B&W conversion. Nice reflection on the one building.

Great shots - interesting subjects and perspectives - I really like the way you used muted colors - gives the pictures almost a 'nostalgic' or 'historical' look - is that a lot of work to do?

Nice pictures FireMate

Victoria's beautiful.
I haven't been there in 2 years, and I really should try making it back there soon.

Saturation right down - does a fine job. All these shots play to the best of their subjects. Good work!

Wow, love the PP that went into this. It's decidedly different, and it works great! Thanks!

I like the airplane shots alot. They remind me of the Golden Age of flying. All it needs is a PanAm or United logo on the bottom right. I like the empress hotel pics alot too. The processing really adds to the feel.
