First Shot
Posted By: roscot, 11-27-2006, 05:13 PM

I really like the tradition of posting first shots of new equipment, that was started at DPR, so if there are no objections, I'd like to carry that tradition over here.

First shot with K10D. Please don't expect any hard core testing. I don't do that. This is not much, but it was dark by the time the battery charged. So this is just a quick shot.

Manual Mode with Pentax AF280T on Auto mode (non-TTL). My Sigma EF500DG is S.O.T. until I can get it rechipped. (I have an early serial number)

Shot in DNG, Converted in ACR2.4, PS - levels, and mild TLR sharpening.

Nice shot Alan.
I see your glasses need cleaned. The picture is very crisp and clear.

Good shooting.

Thanks Dave. I won't get a chance to really exercise it until the weekend.

Hi Alan!

You say it wasn't much of a shot but wasn't it fun taking it??

Hope you have some time to have fun with it over the next few days!

Hi Alan,

No hard core testing? Well that's a refreshing change!

Anyway, a nice first photo post for the forum and I am glad you have carried on the tradition.

screw the hardcore testing..just go out and have fun w/ it....
we'll leave the testing to the others.....

As far as i'm concerned...it's been tested by me..the owner, and as far as I know...it's producing some very pleasing results...

i would post my IMG0001.jpg, but I think i deleted in camera...
