A couple shots of Old Cop cars
Posted By: Eastern Shore Charlie, 07-22-2007, 09:52 AM

Just happen to see that the Delaware State police in Dover had some of their old cruisers on display yesterday. The Plymouth crusier's siren caught my eye so I just had to take a picture of it. Love the old metal work and chrome....

I agree with everything that daacon said.

Those were the days

Cars sure have lost their class. In my opinion the last nice North American built car was the Dodge Prowler
(not my pic)

Those are great examples of restored cop cars. Thanks for sharing!
My father was a cop. I have a picture someone took of him in 1950, the year he started with the OPP. No gleaming sirens just my ol' man's bright smile in this picture.

Ok, he had a shiny spot light.

(I am sorry for highjacking your thread.)

It's always nice to take some time and see how the world was in a different era. Thanks guys, aside from the nice pictures, it was also fun to see how cop cars were in the early years.

J. Scott, thanks for sharing your dad's pic.

ESC, thanks for sharing and the trip down memory lane.

Perfect. The Plymouth reminds of my days in the '60's when we tried hard to drive fast but stay out of trouble.

I really enjoy these shots. For some reason the old Ford reminds me of the '50's series, "Superman".

Great job.
