In between lanscape shots I was able to get some local Wilf Life shots. The first is a Raw Sheep and the second is a Elk. Cheers JIM

Awesome! This is not landscape picture of the mountains but more of wild animals of the Rockies. I like the first picture with the wide DoF.
The second picture is also nice.
Thanks for sharing, Jimbo.

Cheers.

This was my trusty Sigma 70-200 2.8. The first photo I was 5 feet away [no crop] The second I was about 15 feet away. JIM

Very cool looking photos of some great looking animals. However, I think I will stay away from the guy in the first photo. He looks a little on the mean side and those horns don't help either. I also really like all the detail in the fur as it really adds to the photo.

Thanks for sharing,
Cory

These are truly wonderful photos. How did you get five feet from that big horn sheep? You're braver than me if you were that close. I was chased by an elk last fall in Estes Park and had to run with my tripod, so I have plenty of respect for the speed of large animals! I have pictures of other photographers running with their tripods, too.

Wow. It looks like you are so amazingly close to these animals.. and great sharp photos! 5 ft? Those sheep are usually so skiddish they see you coming from a mile away. Great job!
