This is definitely my favorite of your bug series so far. This looks so alien, and just so plain cool that you have no idea how awesome I think it is. Your framing and your crop and your exposure are all perfect, and I love the color green so you get more points from me there. You should submit this one to Pentax Photo Gallery, I seriously think it would get in there.

Thank you guys! My apologize to the PPG viewers as apparently this picture is viewed HUGE there. I have a widescreen monitor and I still have to scroll to the side.

Wow, this photo is truly astounding. As other members have said this photo looks really alien and that is the best part about it. I also like the colors and the crop works really nice as well. However, I am wondering why his eyes look like that? It doesn't look like the rest of him is hurt or damaged.

Its from bumping into stuff..... the mantis still sees fine though

I agree. What an awesome shot! It looks totally like something HR Giger would draw (artist of all the Aliens movies). Really neat! Was this shot with the Vivitar 105mm?

No, it was taken with the sigma 105mm and M 50mm F/1.7 reversed.
