The first one is definitely my favorite, your second version is nice as a black and white, but I don't like the filter effect that you used on it, it just doesn't really fit your subject. The colors in the first one are so beautiful though why would you want to convert it to black and white? I love the first one a lot more, honestly, and I think it's pretty much perfect and beautiful.

I like what you are trying to do on the second one; however, I would only change the photo to black and white and not add all that extra texture. In my opinion the photo already has enough texture and a simple conversion to black and white will do this photo some good.

Thanks for the comments, I'll try a straight Black and White conversion and see how it turns out.

Wow... awesome composition and I really like it in color. The yellow really pops out at you. Great shot!
