DMZ JSA Tour and More
Posted By: 68wSteve, 04-20-2010, 07:19 AM

Well today i went on the DMZ Tour through the USO in Seoul. At first i was told i could not use my 300mm at the JSA, but when we got there I could have used it so i was a little upset, so most of these pics are crops from the DA* 50-135. Hope you enjoy them.

WOW, thanks for the pics. I don't think that guard appreciated your presence, what do you think? Cool

I wonder if the guard was using Pentax glass?

Why was the security guard photographing you? That is kind of odd. The first photo is my favorite because I have a thing for photos of the back of people, since it's totally different from the front and you don't see it as much, and you did a great job on that one too.

Wow, that first guard is spying on you! I also can't believe that the guard in the first shot is basically looking at wall. When I saw it I was reminded of a child in the corner for getting in trouble, but I don't think that is the reason he is standing there.

He wasn't photographing. They use binoculars and look at everybody that comes for tours.

The South Korean MP stands with a half stance profile. So that if anything were to happen, the North Koreans would only have half a target to shoot at.

Haha. I hate rules. Good job capturing the mood. I really like #3 with the guy with binoculars staring back at you. Too bad you couldn't have used your telephoto lens to get a close-up of him.
