Long exposures at the beach
Posted By: ismaelg, 04-20-2010, 12:32 PM

Not really sure whether to clasify these as abstract, or nature, or landscape, or even travel...

Practicing long exposures at Sardinera beach, Puerto Rico, just after sunset.
Yes, my next purchase should be ND filter...
All with K100DS 18-55 AL kit lens @ 55mm

Ohh, how I love the beach. Your photos look really great as the long exposures give the photos a kind of dreamy effect. However, I do wish that there was a stronger foreground element to lead your eye's into the photo. Other then that I really like these shots and thanks for sharing.

These are a great start, but the beach is a very difficult place to get some long exposures at. The best way to get some good wave action is to literally be in it, I know this from experience, and also like I know from experience, you have to be ready to jump in there and save your camera in case it gets taken away, which almost happened to me.

That last photo is great, the way the wave is frozen in motion.

I like the last one the best! Makes me want to be on the beach hearing the waves crash and watching the seagulls float in the breeze. Very nice photos!

Very Cool series of the sea waves, ismaelg.

I like the last picture most. Only one thing is out, the beach. IMO, maybe a scene of a beach seen partially with the waves would be nice.
This is just my 2 cents worth of opinion only.
