Was shooting a series up around Crater Lake, and saw one of the squirrels with a piece of apple, the other one came charging up to take it. The one jumping is the one that had the apple.

Fun thing was, I knew I was close to the end of the roll. Saw the critter charging up, and fired when I knew they were close..... The shot happened, and the roll rewound.... Last shot on the roll!

And the picture. It was the wrong size.

BTW, it was shot September 11th or 12th, 2001. (to be honest, I can't remember if we'd overnighted before or after the crater lake).

I'm afraid I don't see any photos here. You must not have posted the bbcode correctly. There's a sticky on the top of this board if you need help with that, or maybe you just missed a bracket, or something.

EDIT: There it is! That's an awesome little photo, I've never seen chipmunks jumping before now, although the thought of seeing that makes me want to go photograph them more.

taking a bunch of cookie bits or fruit will instill enough greed among them that scuffles will occur.

Wow, that is a really cute photo. They must be really exicted because they found some nuts or something. Although, there is a fair amount of noise it is still a fun photo to look at and show the kids.

Thanks for sharing,
Cory

Cool photo - looks like Kung-fu Chipmunk!

Good on you for coming thru in the clutch for that last shot.

A Good take on the squirrel jumping for joy, ventured.
Thanks for sharing.

Tuner,
I believe that is not noise, its graininess from film print which may showed up like noise in the computer screen.

Cheers.

Yep that's grain on the film. I ususally sharpened the scans, so the grain became enhanced a lot. Would have been scanned straight off the negative.

No problem, ventured.
To most of us who dabbled in film in yesteryears, we know what is grain in the prints. But as digital age caught up, it may be seen like "noise" on the computer screen.

Have a nice weekend.

Cheers.
