A thorny situation
Lens: 18-55mm Camera: Pentax K7 Photo Location: Whidbey Island, WA ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: 1/90s Aperture: F6.7

When I saw the thorns on these rose bushes, I had to get a picture. Yes, they look as nasty in person as they look in the photo!

Not something you would want to fall into!!! OUCH!!!

Ouch! That looks like it hurt, hopefully you didn't fall in while trying to get the photo. I like this one and I think that there's a great artistic representation here with the excellent depth of field and everything, but the bottom of the photo doesn't have much that is really that interesting in it, so I'm wondering if maybe you should just crop it out and try a few different crops on this instead.

I like the first crop that you posted the most, it has a great balance between both of the branches that are in focus, and although it's a square crop which isn't that popular usually, I think that it works great for that photo especially. I would go with the first one. I like it.
