Fantastic shots Heinrich, lens must be a gem if produces these very sharp results.

One question I have...I see there is a flash reflection in the eyes of both birds. Are you using a flash to improve the lighting? and if so, is it the pop-up or remote. I saw a similar bird posting with a tip of using a remote flash close to a bird feeder by cdurfor. (https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/post-your-photos/99294-nature-bird-fun.html). I've not though of using a flash for small birds, and thought remote flash was also great idea.

Cheers
Kevin

Very nice tack sharp pictures. Were the pics taken with the new hsm model for Pentax or with an older non hsm version?--charliezap

Thank you Kevin, I use an old Pentax AF280T flash with a tele ext. on camera in manual mode. A remote wouldn't work for me as most of my images are not taken near feeders.

Take care,
