My New Brodie Bike w/FA 43mm
Lens: FA 43mm F1.9 Camera: K20D ISO: 200 Shutter Speed: 1/500s Aperture: F2

In pursuit of staying healthy, I finally bought my first new bike in 20 years to start to commute to work on. I spent a few hours at a local bike shop and tried out several before deciding on a Brodie Dynamo from their Express series. Ended up spending a little more than I anticipated (where are the bikes that used to cost $200!) but after having completed my first 50km round trip commute, I'm pretty happy with what I bought!

Some shots w/FA 43mm

Looks like a beautiful machine, I guess if you like cool bikes, it makes sense that your a camera person too. You have a very nice camera/ lens / bicycle combo.

Honestly, it's one of the simpler bikes that they had; other than the disc brakes, it's a basic, reasonably light frame and decent drivetrain parts. If my commute was shorter, I would have considered going down in price, but even "entry" level prices on a sturdy commuter bike isn't cheap!

I will admit though that when I saw the brakes, I was sucked in. We have weather that quickly changes in the Pacific Northwest (read RAIN) and I didn't want to risk having reduced braking performance, especially on busy streets!

Thanks for looking.

Jeff
