Sunset Caught
Posted By: Rense, 04-30-2010, 12:44 PM

Driving home from a family visit on one of our national holidays today, I noticed the sun caught in the seed-balls of the Dandelions in the verges. So I stopped the car and shot some photos. This is one of the exposures. Just slightly cropped and treated with the Orton Effect.

( what would it look like without the orton effect?)
Thanks Dave! It's good without the effect, but not as dreamy..... I will consider posting it....

Now this is a masterpiece, my friend - frame it and put it on the wall.

Jer, this is the first time I'm considering framing and hanging a self-made picture...
Thanks for looking and commenting!

Wow Rense, you used the Orton effect effectively. Absolutely beautiful.
Thank you Suzan. Just trying to understand when it works, and when it doesn't....

Fantastic image!

I think I like the one with the orton effect better but its hard to decide. Part of me likes the sharpness in the original but I keep settling on the softness of the edges.

Thats one of the many effects I have never tried and I keep telling myself I have got to learn my software better.

Thanks for posting
