Thanks for the great pics!

This thread has convinced me to purchase an 8-16mm sigma. Thanks to everyone who showed off their pics!

Anyone have a good recommendation for a place to purchase? I own a 17-70mm sigma that I love, but I know that sigmas can be hit and miss. Would be nice to find a place that has an easy return policy if an exchange is necessary.

Thanks!
Randy

Just received my 8-16 today

WOW. it sure is wide!! Its heavier and bigger than I thought Just about the size of the Pentax 18-55 kit lens

My favorite subject "Kipper" seems to like it but he thinks it makes his feet look big

Funny, I decided a couple of days ago that I needed to get me one. My decision was based on logic similar to Homer's (great minds... ;~).

Mines now turned up. Pleased to report its pretty friggin awesome. Only thing is I need to learn how to get the very best out of it as its so different from my previous lenses.

It's nice having picked up a UWA - 6 years after I first got a DSLR, one of the reasons being to be able to buy a UWA lens!

Also at £406.99 inc delivery it was a bit of a bargain!

Need to try shooting some video with it soon!

I'm in

It arrived yesterday afternoon. I haven't put it through acceptance testing yet but can confirm that it is wide.
