Another lovely image of a place to raise your spirits.
Thank you for the comment. Had to smile as the view is up a gully to a ridge located behind the York cemetery.

Well, I guess I hit the comment right on the head. A cemetery is a place where the spirit rises, so I've heard.

Airplanes! I dont see any airplanes here!

Folks I just picked up this awesome lens from a fellow member here and got a chance to take it for a test run out at the local airbase here in Vegas. here are a couple of shots along with more to come. After drooling over this particular lens for over the last three years I finally got one at a good price, now I just cannot understand how I have made it this far without this beautiful chunk of glass.

That is a great series that shows off what a fine lens can do. Sigma has always been on the forefront of extreme WA zooms, and the 8~16mm may be their greatest achievement.

Ah huh I can believe it - I have that lens and I know how close you can get to your subject and it still look a ways off through the viewfinder - and the point of that nose is really close hence the comment I made in a joking way...

I don't have the lens any more (sob!), but here is one from early 2016 that I only just got around to processing.
