Morning dog walk to the ridge behind our house..... Sigma 8-16 and K-3

Snow in the air...

One hand wide angle dog image. I'm holding the stick and taking the picture.

My little guy...

Some fungus-- who knew an 8-16 was good for macros

Three dogs on a stick...

The frozen creek

An erratic on the ridge...

Let me sniff that thing you're holding...

Snow squall over Mud Bay..

Ice on the rocks...

Beech Tree Corner on the way home...

Hi Dave - it's located just south of Squamish, BC or just north of Vancouver by about 40 minutes. It's a new tourist attraction called the Sea to Sky Gondola about 6,000 feet above sea level. Definitely becoming a photographer's spot because of the mountain and ocean views.

A Quick one from me - at (I think) 8mm.

Heavily processed, this shot started life as a 5-shot HDR, taken during the day.

The sharpness is amazing, however some areas of the image do suffer from misalignment issues - it would have been a lot easier to process if I had actually taken a tripod and chosen the centre of the street better. Live and Learn..

While the border sharpness is not great (misalignment of HDR frames?), the detail at the centre is incredible. K-3 is one amazing piece of kit (even if mine is off being fixed).

Does anyone know how to make 500px.com embedded photos come up a bit bigger? I think the issue is with 500px's embed only doing these smaller images. Do I need a flickr account too......?

Of course, you can see it better on 500px itself if you click through.

John

John - nice shot even if it's crooked. I always like the way the eye goes toward the middle in the Sigma 8-16mm

Thanks..... and yeah, not such a tough job to do some free transforms on the buildings in PS...... try it like this! Think I could get it better with more time & patience - but unfortunately, with me..... both are finite !
