You can control the distortion very easily in Lightroom / Lens correction / manual.

Great photos!

One more from me, a cinema organist plays in the beautifully restored Stockport Plaza cinema, England UK.

An abandoned, derelict farm not far away. The the big white clapboard house is out of sight to the left, connected to the barn by the grey building, also gradually rotting away.

Lovely shots!

Just dropped in to say that my very quick test of this lens with K-1 was fun. Obviously it worked great in crop mode, but I was delighted to find that it's possible to apply the lens at the long (16mm) end in FF mode. 15mm is also acceptable (to me anyway), with some rather severe vignetting at the extreme corners.

YYMV of course, but I'm seeing this as a bonus, especially as DA15 won't help here!

Something to bear in mind while saving up for that outrageously priced Pentax 15-30

I'll drop back if I can get a photo or two worth sharing out of the combination!

John

Pentax K-1 - Sigma 8-16mm f/4.5-5.6 @ 16mm f/11 ISO 100 1/8th [slight crop to remove corner fall off, lens distortion is still problematic]

Beautiful photo! Is this shot in FF or crop mode?

Full frame mode - hence the need for some cropping.

Awesome! Glad to see that the 8-16mm will work well on the K-1 as it's one of my favorite lenses. Thanks for posting.
