Here are some pictures taken in Madeira with the Pentax DA 14mm
third shot is excellent!

I have the DA15, but looking at some pics here, i wonder how useful this lens would be for wide people portraits at 2.8? I see very little distortion & nice starbursts as well. Bit harsh bokeh, but still nice.
I consider the DA15 more as a 'stop down' wide landscape lens. I could see a reason for these to live next to each other..

DA 14 @ F6.3 I just received this lens this week so I haven't had the opportunity to get out there and get some wide shots, but thought I would post this quick of my dog. This lens is awesome. I can't believe people whine about how large it is. It's the same size as my FA 31 and I don't hear people bitch'n about it's size. Good Grief Charlie Brown

K-3 Really glad I chose this over the DA 15. Interior shots like this would be less sharp.

I kind of surprised myself with this lens. I'm really a telephoto guy, but this lens has really grown on me.

I'm New!

Brought my lens in October as many of my holidays have included images of the interiors of buildings. I like the lens, it's versatile. I expect to keep both this and the DA15 alongside each other.
First real workout was over New Year when we stayed in a cottage at Avebury Henge. Here's some images from then:

Sunrise on New Years Day

Startrail on 2nd January

HDR Merge on 3rd January

Sunset on 3rd January

nice!

I bought my DA14 instead of the DA15 - mainly to gain that extra bit of f-stoppage, and the shots I've seen with the 14 are just stupendous...
