I've always assumed that any shot taken with a lens with "macro" in the name is appropriate.

I had a fantastic shot taken with a macro lens today. I stumbled upon the Literary Trifecta today at Crown Center in KC.

And yes, I did read "The Holes in Your Nose," but I'm not telling you how it ends!

So let's see what your classic macro lenses can do. Bring out your Voightlander 125mm macros, your FA* 200 macros, your Lester-Dine macros and your Sigma 180mm macros and show the forum their capabilities.
Quote from our Pentax member, Ash who was so kind in starting this thread for our enjoyment. So if the macro lens can take a close up or a shot of the sky it's all fair game around here to me.

Kind thanks WJ. Often it is the lense you have that celebrates your imagination permitting both new visions and new possibilities. "Shoot without limits, celebrate your imagination". Unfortunately I do not remember the source of the quote or I would give due credit.

Wonderful capture JCD! How do I order this Trifecta as a poster!

Good things I didn't offer it to Eeyore. Thistles is what Eeyore likes best.

I saw the fly covered in dew yesterday morning and decided to grab my SMC FA Macro 50mm and take some shots. While I was out, I also snapped a few other critters.

Flash is the 540FGZ bounced with the built in white card.
That fly has a TUMAH!!!

Nice pics though, i'm loving those colors.

Quantaray 135mm f2.8 clos focusing

I can across this really unusual manual 'close focusing' lens. Took a decent macro.
