Actually, it's a moth which does a pretty fair job of pretending to be a hummingbird. Don't know the official name though.

Rense, those are some beautiful images and truly inspiring! Which lens(es) did you use for those shots (esp of the bees)?
Thank you. The last Sand bee was shot with the SMC Pentax 100mm F4 macro....

M42, K or M version?

And how about the other macros you've posted? Sorry for the questions, but would be great to know which lenses you're using to capture them. I'm still on the fence with which MF prime macro to get and this thread is a brilliant showcase for what some of them are capable of...

'Reverse lens' macro is referred to a lot and has been allowed inby Ash. :-)
Way back when I was still shooting with a Canon digicam I reversed my 50mm F1.4 hand held on the front and got this one in 'macro mode':

Apologies if you have seen it before.

Ah, yes, stupid! It's the A-version!
Most of these are made with the Vivitar/Panagor 90mm 2.8 1:1 auto macro, some with its 50mm counterpart....

I’m old enough that I’m not a big fan of the abbreviated acronyms which dominate this and other forums but a lot of these images fall into the OMG category. Keep them coming guys.
