Up Close, with the DFA 100 WR Macro. ISO400, F8, 1/250s, AF 540FGZii in High Speed Sync Mode.

This is probably my most under used lens when overall image quality is considered. I really should use this lens more.

Thanks to NASS and his terrific publication and article on stacker slabbing I tried using Zerene and Bugslabber on images from an outing to Longwood Garden last Saturday. They had a display of Blue Poppies. This is a re-edited photo of one previously posted using Zerene and Bugslabber. I feel it is much improved.
Very nice, good work.

Here is one from my K-5iis and SMC-F 100mm Macro.

I like the exposure - good detail and the wing motion adds a real sense of life to the shot.

Thank you @RockvilleBob! I have to say that was photographer's luck. I felt I had a good shot, but I didn't account for capturing motion in the wings. That was a relly nice detail I didn't appreciate until you pointed it out.

Thanks again!

Great shots here.
Just bought a Pentax 50mm f4 macro lens (mislabeled as a Pentax "M") so I´ll come back soon with pics.

Think I'll post these here rather than in the "flowers" thread. The 180mm Voigtlander is really "close focus" rather than macro, but it holds up well when cropped. Uncropped & cropped images below taken with a K1 (not using pixel-shift).

Couldn't resist to try to take a couple shots of them with a macro lens
