Small garden scene with High Contrast and color

I like using a Macro handheld, this with testing out a new 50mm D FA Macro seems perfect for this purpose! I was too lazy to dodge out the burnt area in the center-bottom, so it is not "picture perfect". I definitely went beyond the limits of the sensor!

High contrast with polarizer, 50 mm D FA Macro
That's an interesting image. SUGGESTION FOR AN EXPERIMENT. If you use PS, run it through the filter collection. I suspect it would make an interesting abstract using the poster paint, paper cutout or maybe paint daubs or other of the more graphic filters. If you find a filter that works, you might also try rotating it ninety degrees to make the abstract a little more unreal or disorienting.

Thanks for the ideas. I see what you mean, it seems to be a pliable type of image to mess with. I will try some when I get some time. Posterizing it too might be interesting!

Yes, the posterization filter is another that might change that image into something eye-arresting. Any of the filters that tend to make blocky masses of color could be interesting.

Any idea what type of spider this is? I was in a hurry and so was the spider so we never had a chance to shoot a better pose.

A couple of shots taken with my recently-acquired Pentax D FA 100 WR. I really like this lens!
