nice photo

but I think you mean

D FA 100mm F2.8 Macro not DA

and

D FA 100mm F2.8 Macro WR not AW

minor changes

Thanks! I generally just call it the 100 Macro and I've had one or another of them for nearly 30 years...

when I decided to experiment with true macro ( 1:1 capable ) ( I already had an older Tamron 70 - 300 zoom/macro capable of 1:2 )

I did a little research here at the forum,

learned that a designated macro lens would be very sharp overall.

decided I wanted " some length " since my targets would be pollinators in real life and not in a studio and I would gain a short telephoto lens at the same time

so I decided I wanted a " longer " focal length

and when a used D FA 100mm F2.8 macro ( not WR ) came available on the forum's market place, I jumped all over it.

I am very glad I did

The FA I picked up is not WR, and is not capable of Quick Shift, but as with yours, one sharp cookie! Bought for 1:1 and auto exposure to replace my M 100/4 macro. The autofocus isn't terribly useful for macro; I find CIF far more useful, but the AE is helpful indeed.

Fine Curves And Chrome

Just used "Femme Fatale" for her sharpness and detail.

Well done. I used somewhat longer stacks for these, FA 100mm f2.8 + K1.
