Just noticed a little moth on the wall so grabbed the K3II and 100mm WR to grab a couple of shots.
Very nice opportunity taken advantage of with skill.

thank you

still experimenting with my new to me " experienced " smc Pentax-DA 35mm F2.8 macro limited

saw a number of bees pollinating the blossoms, just started to take photos using AF as I leaned into the blossoms to see what I could get

the bees ignored me as I got closer and closer to the blossoms, they kept climbing on them and then flying away

When our Texas Sage bushes bloom, the bees just cover them. I've found that as long as I move slowly and deliberately the bees totally ignore me.
Although it's a bit disconcerting to have them buzzing by my head!! Once, I even had one land on my lens and walk around it - not sure what it was doing, but it eventually just flew into the Sage bush.

Well done, Allen. You got pretty close to the bee with a 35.

Thanks

I do admit that I like the smc Pentax-DA 100 F2.8 macro better because I don’t have to get that close

But the smc Pentax-DA 35mm F2.8 macro limited does work

This week's fun tries will be the FA 100/2.8 macro with the AFA 1.7X on the back. The result is an FA 170/4.8 with limited range AF. Quick shift solves the rest of the problem.

K-1, Sigma 180 Macro, and AF540FGZII flash. I need a flash bracket so I can move the flash further forward.
