Tess says it's the colour, she knows about women and hanging things in their bathrooms. She say "It was probably the perfect colour for whatever she had going on in her bathroom.". See, get yer minds out of the gutter. As for the sperm, anyone got sperm pictures to share? Be sure to post under Not work safe: or whatever.

I'm not seeing the resemblance,

I'm really surprised that the Vivitar 105 family of lenses isn't represented on this thread.

I'm using its very capable cousin, the Vivitar 90/2.8...a great value at 1/3rd the pricetag.

Stunning result Tanner.
You work the thin DoF macros to a tee.

I'm thinking you used a very small aperture here, with the great DOF you get. But there is also excellent contrast--something small apertures & APC sensors do not often do well together. Nice.

What did you ise for an aperture here? Thanks.

Isn't that largely irrelevant nowadays, where the cure of any contrast issues is done by simply moving a slider or adjusting the curves tool?

To a point, Tanner. But agreed, with f/22 and the like, the contrast issues are less of a concern compared to that of diffraction, which is harder to correct (USM can only do so much).

Then again, macro lenses tend to perform remarkably well at such small aperutres.

Yes, the aperture was small - f22, and PP work did the rest. The bug is also not at 100% ...probably 50% or less. My photos dont look pretty at 100%
