Tiny Flower

An elderly friend of my wife gave her a cutting years ago. It showed for the first time I remember a flower. The flower is literally tiny. I took 3 photos with the K-3 and FA 100/2.8 macro. The flower is about 1/2" from the green to the end of the coloured part. (12.5 mm).

If anyone can identify the plant, do let me know. Used my trusty Manfrotto 055B tripod without legs extended. Natural light from a North facing window. The full on closeup is at ISO 100, mirror up 2 seconds.

Front porch safari - plant life

Except for the photos I shoot for other people my personal photo files are terribly unorganized. Here’s some oldies from playing with the macro on the porch.

Pentax/Takumar macro lenses really are sharp, aren't they?

Bumblebee. Looks like a make who got pretty dewy overnight! They're easy subjects before they wake up.

Yes they are quite docile then. Good thing, I was shooting handheld and it took quite a few attempts to get a decent shot!
