I am getting confused. Why are you discussing a Ziess lens on a Panasonic camera on a Pentax forum?
It can be confusing, but there are threads here for specific Pentax lenses or lens series (such as the Limiteds or Star lenses), and there are other threads where there’s no restriction on the make or model of lens. This thread is for macro lenses (or more accurately close focus lenses, some of which fall in the strict definition of a macro lens), but there’s no restriction on make.

In other words, where there’s no restriction on the make or model, it’s the photos themselves that are the important thing, not the gear.

There's nearly always a simple answer. Thank you.

Lovely shot. We can hear them up here but usually not see them.

How did you achieve this depth of field?

The DOF really isn't that great on this shot. I was just lucky enough to get the closest surface of the thorax in focus. You can see that the wing, legs and even antenna are outside of the focal plane.

Nice work, and good to see the old 100-300 being put to good use.

I'm still on the lookout for a Tamron 90/2.8 and these images only feed the LBA. Nice critters!

These are some exciting cirtters, what's with the spider with a black and a green eye? The light on the first one adds a nice mysterious feel to the image, well done!
