The low key treatment of the frosty leave is very effective.

Oly 60mm macro on Oly EM10-II, almost wide open (f3.5) to get a lot of bokeh behind one blossom in the plane of focus.

That plan worked, thanks for sharing this lovely photo.

Elicar VH-Q 90mm f2.5 (Komine mfg) K-A mount. *1st DS, TTL flash mode with Sunpak DX-8R Ring Flash & PT-2D module
The watch is the size of a US half dollar coin

** Unlike my $400 plus Pentax DFA 100/2.8 WR, not a purple fringed highlight to be found !!!

That's a great lens, and indeed the fringing can be quite annoying on the Pentx Macro. Nice and well-lit images with an amazing amount of detail.

I have the same lens and I think it's a great value. About forty years ago I had the Vivitar 90 f/2.8 1:1 Macro and I believe it is the same lens.

This lens apparently made its appearance in lots of different mounts and brands. I have what I think may be the same lens as a Tamron SP AF 90mm f 2.5 macro 1:2 (AF Minolta/Sony A mount), 8-blade shutter. I also have something similar as a MF Tokina AT-X 90mm f 2.5 macro 1:2 (Pentax K mount), 8-.blade shutter, nicknamed the Bokina because of its smooth bokeh. I do not have any precise knowledge of the common background of these lenses, but think I have read somewhere of some kind of common parentage. Tracing this sort of thing is problematical because of cross-licensing, third-party production agreements, company closures, design upgrades, and the like.

Thanks for responding and I see why tracing the (common) ancestry is problematic. I have enough trouble identifying my takumar lens, and they're from one manufacturer, just with a few iterations.
