jaieger, fantastic result - ordinary made into an extraordinary image.
Bruce, I'm sure the 100 WR will impress you more and more as you shoot with it. And don't hesitate to stop that thing right down - DoF gets bloody thin shooting things up close like that!

Heres a Ribbed pine borer (Rhagium inquisitor) in a scary pose.
First is slightly cropped and then downscaled to 1024.
Second is about 75% crop. Didnt go 100% since it would loose some drama.
Shot with my Kiron 105mm f2.8

Heres a funny Large pine weevil (Hylobius abietis)
Hes performing an incredible breakdance routine that I was lucky to catch with my Kiron 105mm f2.8 using f25 and flash.
Not really sharp with that f-stop but the content was so much more important.

I want to take a second and thank Aliasant (Martin) for all his hard work and effort to help me with my PPing, though I do not think any of it has sunk in yet. I may just be PP handicapped. Anyway, here is another with my Tamron 90mm Di: No crop--handsheld-- f7.1--1/400th--iso 250

A tiny spider between rose petals. It was windy so getting the focus right was tricky (Vivitar Ser 1 105/2.5 with K20 at f8, 1/60 sec ISO500).

Downfall, your Macro work has a certain surreal quality to it which is very beautiful.
