A reversed 50 on the other hand.....
And how many you need? Lol
I lost count of my 50s...At least 8 I think..
Good point about the reversed 50s. I even have some reversing rings which I have played around with briefly in the past, but I need to play with them more to get the technique right.
Anyway, I suppose one more 50 couldn't hurt...

I recently acquired a K50/4 1:2 Macro that I plan to use for this thread. My theory is, for what I paid, if I don't like it I can just remarket it on the Marketplace. Worst case I'm out a few bucks, which is sort of like "renting" the lens.
Looking forward to seeing some images from this lens!
Originally posted by macTak Hear hear. I have the S-M-C Takumar version (optically the same), and it is both my sharpest (or as sharp as any other of my lenses) and my favorite lens. Great colors, contrast, and even bokeh (at close distances). Even as a macro lens, I recommend it (note I also have the Vivitar Series 1 90mm macro, Tamron AF 90mm f2.8 macro, Vivitar Series 1 105mm macro, and Sigma 50mm f2.8 macro, but the humble MacTak is my favorite) If you want, see my review for the Takumar version. For the price it goes for (and how nice and compact it is with the shaded front element), I too think it is the hidden gem of the entire Pentax lens lineup
Thanks for the comment! I'll take another look and see about picking up the M50/4, and see what the macro Taks are going for.
