I posted this in the Alphabet Race thread, but I hope you don't mind it here too. The lens is a Tamron Adaptall 90mm f2.5 Macro. Here is my very first insect macro (it was the only shot I took with the ant):

To add a little variety to the insects...a cross-post from the K5IIs thread:

Tamron Adaptall SP 300/5.6 Tele-Macro (54B)

I'm just getting acquainted with this very interesting lens--slow, obviously, and a bit prone to green/magenta fringing but sharp and renders nicely.

Thanks, JP! For obvious reasons, I made no attempt to control the green fringing in this shot--perhaps it even lends a bit of 'punch' to the subject.

With my k5 body being broken and in repair service (4 to 6 weeks, middle of summer... aaaah!) I took out my older friend, k10d .. with kiron macro lens.
Very cool lighting in the shots of the lizard and caterpillar, respectively, guys.
