Here's a wee moth that was on the bathroom mirror tonight, he's about 4mm long.
Hello, I think not a moth, but a moth fly (Psychodidae)

Pentax-F 100/2.8 Macro @ f/22, 1/10, iso 200 natural light, my first attempt at insect macro photography, and of course I followed a lot of tips I learned on here.

Sigma 180mm Macro F3.5

HI, here is my first appearance in this club...
I am an enthusiast Entomologist, and I enjoyed all those previous posts in this thread with insect photos (and other's too!)

this shot was done last summer, in a hurry... I was preparing the dinner and my spouse wack at me about this moth. I ran upstairs (after putting the meal off the stove) to get my gear, and I had the time to take about 5-7 shots, and this was the first that came out the best. Unfortunately, It was very underexposed but I was able to PP in Lightroom (a chance I was shooting RAW).

Taken with Pentax K20D + Sigma APO Macro 180mm F3.5 EX DG HSM + Flash Pentax AF540FGZ on a tripod.
Cropped ~ 1:3

This is the reduced view of the original image

I will follow up this thread and be sure I will contribute to it in the future!
Still learned a lot by looking at all your posts (now let's go practice ! )

Sorry, I am pretty ignorant about types of spiders. I do know that it does not fall into the group considered poisonous for my area. It was just a spider of opportunity, being in the bushes outside of my house, where I saw several of the same type. Its approximate size was about finger nail on the small finger in diameter.

I believe a "BINGO" is in order. Interesting that they eat their web each night and then make a new one each morning. Wow!

Yeah, pretty cool! I have one of those Vivitars and it's surprisingly good with just about any decent prime.
