Congrats--it's a lens that's intrigued and eluded me ;~)
More from the Sigma 180mm at an Herpetology fair , but the range was too long in general for that kind of shooting, I spent more time with the Pentax-D FA 100mm macro f2.8 WR (photo to come in a next post)
I also used the Pentax AF160FC Ring Flash.

Some more Shot with the D-FA 100mm Macro WR and Pentax AF160FC Ring Flash

For the snapping Turtle, I focused on the pale mark in its mouth, where there is a small red appendicle that is used to attract fishes in the water...

Some more with DFA 50mm

This one is a bit blurry but i like the texture of the back and foreground. That spider was really really tiny, this is at full magnification

Cute bumblebee. Chasing bugs and getting a sharp shot is really a challenge, let alone a well composed one...this is the best i could do for today, i hope practice will make me better at that :P

Welcome, and that first one is nice, but if the focus was more in its eye it would've been even better.
