Rich colors on that are attention-grabbing. I always enjoy seeing those on on late-Spring/early-Summer walks (too early for them here)

Fun kit and cool subject!

From a rather more cumbersome kit, Pentax-A 645 macro 120/4 adapted to Pentax K-1 with the Mirex tilt/shift adapter:

I'm enjoying this series very much. Is that a buckeye of some sort?

Sorry that I cannot say for sure, but I don't think it is a buckeye as the "Ohio Buckeye" is not native to this area, and I've never seen the characteristic Ohio buckeye flowers on this or any other tree in our yard or the adjacent woods. It's from one of the small trees (trunk diameter ~3inches) growing just off our deck.

Crocus, Pany GX8 + Ply 60mm macro, a fairly deep crop, about 1/4 of the entire frame as I brought out the wrong tripod (=no leg-spread mechanism for getting low)
