One can thank M. Pentax for the colours, etc. The white paper background resulted in about 1 stop of underexposure, and that was all I had to correct.

We who are/were associated with the RCMP here in the Elk Valley of British Columbia province in Canada were given very nice commemorative coins last week. I used the FA 100/2.8 macro, hand held, with each side of the coin up on a sheet of paper in North window light.

The coin is 1.75 inches in diameter (4 cm) and will be kept with all my special regalia, reminding me of "exciting" nights making sure the drunks didn't die while working as an on call Detention Guard for almost six years. Exposure brightened in LightRoom Classic. There was the odd more intense "guest" but we try to forget those as much as we can.

The reverse of the coin shows the Ghost Rider shadow on Mount Hosmer near Fernie, 30 km (20 mi) West of Sparwood. It comes complete with a legendary dispute . Mount Hosmer (British Columbia) - Wikipedia

Well done, certainy hand-held. Lovely detail and colour. And of course congratulations with being given such a nice token of appreciation for your public service.

Pentax 645Z with 645 A 120 macro lens, Pentax #2 & 3 extension tubes and Raynox 150 & 250 closeup lenses.



X posted from medium format forum. This is one of those clear plastic protector discs that comes in a 100 pack of blank cd's. Tape residue and scratches were on the disc. Disc was held in a 3rd hand soldering rig. There was some birefringence under the flourescent light. Raw image was processed using both in camera and in the computer.

I did cheat a little and couple it up with a helicoid extension tube that has been in my bag for 20+ years and never used.

NIce image. The helcoid never leaves my bag. It does not get as much use since I got the DA* 300. I used it quite a bit when I used my A* 300mm F4 to shorten the minimum focus distance, and, of course, get a little magnification in the process.

I forgot to go out and shoot those this year. I've tried stacks numerous times, but never had a breeze stop long enough to accomplish the task. Good job!
