Taken with the M100/4 macro at f/8 and mfd. For some reason the background, which consists of larch wood, has turned purple. Not sure what caused this.

Auto white balance? Purple would be the consequence of over-corrected green.

Yup, that could be it, but I don't notice it as much in the colour of the leaf. I'll fiddle with the settings in LR

Used to do quite the same when testing new lenses e.g. realizing that I need to remove dust around lol

Poussière de Soleil / Sun Dust
That's very creative, it does have a resemblance to an image of a (very active) sun, with flares and prominances rising from the edge.

Yes, that was the idea I had when I saw my test shot coming from the Irix 150mm macro

How does the Irix 150 compare to the Pentax A 200mm macro?

Can't tell at this moment, haven't had much the time to play with the A200 so far...

Here's a couple of recent ones with the 100 f/2.8 Macro. I'd been wanting to do a Dew on spider web for a long time. I finally had a chance and the right conditions.

Full frame and then a crop

Butterfly last fall with the Sigma 180 macro and the K-1. This is a heavy crop as well.

Found this little 5mm individual in a empty cool whip container. It remained still enough for a 32 image stack. Only the palps moved.

Image below is downsized from original 3840x2160 crop. Flash used, aperture f8. Used 1.4x F converter just to see. No real benefit over macro lens by itself.

Very nice, Roger. There's an amazing amount of detail visible and the lighting is excellent. Thanks for sharing!
