Found this little 5mm individual in a empty cool whip container. It remained still enough for a 32 image stack. Only the palps moved.

Image below is downsized from original 3840x2160 crop. Flash used, aperture f8. Used 1.4x F converter just to see. No real benefit over macro lens by itself.
Remaining still for 32 flash discharges? Brave little fellow! Anyway, great result and well worth the effort.

Both are with the K-1, Sigma 180 Macro, and the AF540FGZII flash.

Very nice, Roger. There's an amazing amount of detail visible and the lighting is excellent. Thanks for sharing!
You are welcome. The lighting is a happy accident. I had the Met 64 with diffuser down & white reflector out. I'm sure most of the flash hit the lens. But enough got to the cool whip container in which the spider spun it's web to give a fairly even result.

First few shots in the backyard with my new DFA 100 Macro. Excited to have this out on the trail with me the next couple of months when the desert is in bloom!

EXIF data indicates a 100mm lens, and from the year the image was taken (2017) the lens in use must have been my 90mm f2.5 Tokina macro (EXIF data rounds 90mm up to 100mm). The lens has gone to someone who I hope is getting many fine macros with it. At the time I bought it, decades ago, it was a benchmark for IQ.

If you are referring to the AT-X “Bokina”, that was a 90mm lens, and it is still a benchmark for IQ. But it would not have communicated any EXIF data to the camera.

My mistake. I'll go back and correct the FL.
