Nice! Always eager to hear/see more about this lens (and the 20mm 3.5).
You are welcome. This lens is just amazingly handy and a joy to use.

Those portraits with the 58mm are superb. One could very easily develop an LBA--just as they stop making them for PKA.

Voigtlander 90mm & 40mm

When the rain finally took a break I walked out, snapped the picture at F8 handheld, converted from RAW to JPEG w/o any other post processing. It surprises me how richly the VL renders colors and shapes, yet distant leaves and branches, when I look close, show detail:

Just got the 40mm today, here's my first test shot, cropped about 30%, shot straight into the sun (I had numerous shots into the sun with little flare . . . I love that muted star). My friend who lives at this location tells me birds start coming around a couple of hours before sunset to sit on the wires, as though getting a good seat for the sunset:

Nice. This weekend (now that I am feeling better), I hope to use this lens some more. My first rolls with it were just what I wanted.

les3547,
That is an outstanding photograph. As you noted, it's very artful. While the lens is great, you took the shot. Excellent.

I finally got a voigtlander!...I got two actually, the 58 f/1.4 and the legendary 125mm f/2.5 - but they are in F mount, so these were taken on my Nikon D3.

top two from the 125mm and the bottom image from the 58mm.

I love the painting-like quality of the rose petals. I can't decide if the Voightlanders are photo lenses or art lenses.
