Yes. I shoot RAW and use Lightroom. Most significantly Clarity is set to -33 to soften the subject's freckles & wrinkles. ... I usually use Clarity anywhere from 0 to plus 66 in my photos. But woman all seem to very much prefer the clarity well into the negative; what a surprise. Otherwise, just played with WB to get the right warmth, and usual settings to balance the photo. They were pretty good out of the camera as they were. But the K-5 being the K-5, I usually under-expose so as not to blow the highlights, and use light-fill as there's so much data in the darks from the K-5.

With only clarity adjustment, K-x itself made a pretty good job then, impressive details from a K-x with a good lens, I never seen before, that means Ultron is a heck of a lens. ...

So it's user too surely :ugh: Is it SL I or SLII?

He said he used the K-5 (not the K-x); and the Voigtlander 125 is an APO Lanthar, not an Ultron (the 40m is an Ultron, which is also a great lens). Lastly, the 125mm only was made as SL1.

Yes, they're PP to 11. But I like the result.

My appologies for being the source of confusion.

p.s. "PP to 11" means they are PP'ed a lot .... It's based from a bit of American "Pop Culture". Re-use of the line from the comically satirical farce "Spinal Tap" when the character is explaining how his amplifier is better and louder than any other ever created, because his "goes to 11" ... Check out one of the You Tube links: http://www.google.com/search?q=%22this+one+goes+to+11%22

Finally got my Voigt Color Skopar 20/3.5 SLII! What I can say is that I definitely prefer its colors to the DA21/3.2Ltd lens. IQ and color rendition is more like the FA limiteds and not as saturated or plasticky as the DA's. There is some CA when facing strong lighting situations. The lens is definitely sharp edge to edge when used in a cropped sensor. Since the reviews tested its performance in FF dslr's where they claim lack of corner sharpness unless in f8, I was a little worried, but in a cropped sensor the corners are sharp even wide open, although good contrast kicks in at f5.6. All in all I am very happy with it.

A test shot (shot at f8 in RAW. Minimum PP applied)...

Congratulations Vince. I must admit I'm a little relieved after recommending it and knowing everyone's tastes are unique. I don't understand some reviewers' excessive criticisms of softening corners since virtually all wide angle lenses have that issue; I don't think the Voigtlander 20mm is softer there than normal, and it is very sharp in the center area. If a lens measures up to a decent sharpness standard, then the real thing that makes it valuable to me is how it renders color. There I agree with you . . . stopped down a bit it seems to yield the typical Voigtlander signature.

I had my first real shoot using the Color Skopar 20.3.5 last night. I chose a shoot of nightscenes of the city streets after the rains. Here are some of my favorites...

I meant to comment on your pictures back when you posted them, but forgot. It's hard to tell about the color rendering because of how the colorful night lights affect things, but the pictures look really sharp. What do you think of the lens?

Ditto ! I too forgot. I'd like to see some more daytime shots from this lens as the colour bleeding from the exposure in the shots above is blowing out the detail .. except in the B&W where the detail is obvious. Looks very good.
