Now i've done it, I caught the Voigtlander bug. I believe Voigtlander is German for "sharp wide open or you money back"..

This is my very nice Voigtländer-Collection. And the Color-Heliar is my favorite of them. Yes... the underrated Heliar.

Wow, nice collection! My favorite is Apo-Lanthar 180/4. When you add it to your collection you will probably agree. Heliar is also the nice lens, but I like rendering of FA 77/1.8 more at this focal length.

I only owned one V lens, a 58mm f1.4.....I seldom used it and sold it a couple of years ago. I do recall it was a high quality well made lens, but I am more a zoom shooter with long glass.

Here is my favorite 58mm V f1.4 shot of Otis when he was just a baby.....I was up very close to get this shot...you can even see the tiny mosquitoes buzzing around him.

Shot wide open @ 1/200 ISO 400 on my old K20D...Damn he was handsome even back then!

if I recall, I missed you sale and bought my VL58 right after (2014). No wonder Otis looks so good!

Yep, I sold it pretty cheap. Great lens, but most all of my shooting nowadays is long glass. Otis......yes, he is a handsome little critter, and pretty smart too....a lot smarter than me and he isn't slow to say it.

Tried my Nokton 58/1.4 with a 36mm extension tube yesterday and was more than impressed with the quality and "look" - the pasta sauce I ended up with tasted pretty good too....
