Marvellous as well!

I have 'a bit' too many lenses in the 50mm range but what I've seen from the Nokton never fails to impress.

You are sure getting some fantastic results from your Voigtlander lenses. Maybe if you get tired of them you can sell one of them to me!

I'm fairly certain I am keeping my Voigtlanders (this time). I once owned all the Voigtlanders, and really liked them, but eventually sold them so I could check out Zeiss and Leica lenses. I have now reacquired the Voigtlanders I liked the most (40, 58, 75, 90, 125). While buying and selling I've been able to compare Zeiss and Leica to Voigtlander lenses, and I found them all very close in image quality. I personally like the mentioned Voigtlanders best overall because most are lightweight little jewels. The one CV I did sell off again is the 180. It's IQ is fantastic but it is so lightweight it didn't counterbalance my K-1, and that made its long FL very hard to steady and manually focus. The 125 however balances the K-1 perfectly.

Lately I've been comparing the CV 40 to the Zeiss 35/2. Except for distant infinity, the CV is actually a bit sharper than the Zeiss in the center at all focal lengths, but doesn't catch up at the edges and distant infinity until f4-5.6. I give credit to the Zeiss for being just about perfect at all focal lengths, edge to edge (plus 12 inch close focus). But it is 4" long and weighs 530g vs the CV's 200g/1 inch footprint. The CV 40 also will render in a painterly sort of way at times like the picture below I posted earlier in this thread; yet it still clearly resolves the distant buildings, right center.

Just bought this from another forum member. Think I’m going to like it a lot! Just a fun test photo.
