Just a thought. The Zeiss should be easier to find. I know of an auction where a new one is on sale right now. Also for a hefty price but still cheaper than the Voigtländer that comes very rarely up for sale.
Thanks for the feedback Bart. From the time I first picked up a camera as a kid, an old Rollei 7D TWR, Zeiss was "the glass" to own. And I don't see it as any less so today. Still I have become so enamored with the Voightlander glass under Cosina's ownership that I would sort of feel like I was "cheating" if I bought that fantastic Zeiss 100/2.0.
I am patient and can wait until I have sold my extra kidney and perhaps a lobe or two of my liver to fund the Voightlander 125.
Right now I am working on tje 645D around the end of the year so that 125 would be only if I decided against the 645D and it's two new lenses and a few of the older bits of glass. Seems It's gonna be an expensive year after all. But having a new hip installed next year so I wanna have all my toys in place for the rehab...how's that for rationalization?
