The lens is sharp edge to edge on my K200D. Optimum sharpness is attained between f5.6 to f8. But by f11, some diffraction occurs.

Color IQ is as I hoped for More like FA limiteds rather than the DA limiteds. Here is a test shot done recently from my balcony, with the sun at my back...

This second shot has the sun exactly on top (midday). For the full size shot, please go to my DPreview Gallery

Great blues and greens. Since the color is already very well saturated out of camera (I shoot RAW), I don't need to push the saturation levels that much more. BTW, I tried the lens without and with a hood (generic metal barrel type), and I noticed that the hood really helps in saturation and correct exposure. So the hood needs to stay.

Merry Christmas Voigt lovers!

Colours and sharpness look great Vince, but there does seem to be some visible distortion. Thanks for posting and Merry Xmas !

Thanks Yup, there is some distortion, but I can live with it. In my opinion, it's not that different from the distortion that I got from the DA21/3.2 and the FA20-35/4 AL. After all, it is a wide angle lens.

The distortion of VL20 seems less to me than one of DA21. I actually was quite surprised that is sometimes almost missing.

I recently acquired this lens, and did not have a chance to do a lot of shooting. Here is one of test shots:

It is not as good as DA21 that holds the sun better. But not bad at all.

Maybe it is off-topic here, did anybody try Pentax A 20/2.8 for comparison?

Nice shots. All you need is the VL 90mm and you'll have the perfect trio!

Thanks les. The VL90 has been on my mind for some time now. But since I have the Sigma 50-150/2.8 II, I'm hard pressed to justify it's acquisition

More shots using the VL20 from my last photoshoot for the year with fellow pentaxians.

Happy New Year guys!

A 2 photo pano I put together from some heavily worked photos taken with the VL 125/2.5 at the same time as the Empire State Building one previously.

I've been shooting with my Voigtlander 75mm lately because of its unexpectedly good IQ.

Hi Les,

I've heard rumors (maybe in this thread) that VL 75/2.5 formula was bought by Pentax and then used to produce Pentax DA 70/2.4 lens. The VL lens was discontinued shortly before DA 70/2.4 came out. Do you have DA 70/2.4 to compare? Just curious. Personally, I don't think that's true. The images that I've seen from DA 70 are quite different from yours VL. But interesting... You are one of quite a few people owning VL 75/2.5, so you can probably tell something from your experience.
