Just purchased a slightly used, 4-month old k5 from another pentaxforum member. The K5 and Voigt Nokton 58/1.4 SLII are a perfect match made in heaven. The k5's Sony 16mp sensor seems to unleash the resolution of the Nokton, compared to the 10mp sensor in the k10/k200d! Some sample test shots...

ISO1600 @ f3.5

ISO800 @ f2

Nice! Are those huge things fangs that he has tucked away under him?

I cant afford one of those Voigts at the moment but one day i might

Heres a high ISO shot in the dark with my trusted Voigtlander 50mm f1.8 Color-Ultron.
ISO 1000 1/50 dark room. Exposure boosted in LR. Full frame.
Cant remember the F-stop but I would guess 1.8 or perhaps 2.8.

@vinceloc, I agree about the Nokton, the resolution above f/2.2 is incredible. I recently took an archival type shot @f/4 to show the difference with a canon superzoom and equivalent body. The person I was showing dropped her jaw...needless to say I convinced her to buy better optics. Now imagine the possibilities with a K-5 IIs with no AA filter

Lovely shots mika and marcus. Aliasant that's a wonderful soft(ish) portrait.

Yes, those were the fangs of the spiders for killing its prey.

Nice rendering of your Ultron portraits too.

Thank you.

Looked thru your gorgeous macros on your flickr.
Nice rendering from that Voigt!. Reminds me of the Tokina 90/2.5.

You seem to have a nice variaty of cool colorful kritters were ever you live.
Here theres mostly flies, flies a couple of flies and a few dragonflies....
Wouldnt mind a few of yours to move here.

Love this one. Guess I have a fetish for bugpron. Maybe it could use a little cropping to get them closer in frame?

Yup Jeff, the Nokton 58/1.4 just gets better and better as more MP's are thrown at it

But the APO Lanthar 90/3.5 SLII is no slouch either!!

My ol trusted Color-Ultron 50/1.8 at the zoo.
Shot thru a window of course.
It was dark so I did what I had to to get the shots but the bokeh turned out quite interesting.

the above images details are off the charts, surprised more people don't shoot the SLii series on pentax cameras and do your rarely ever read about people using them. I was going to pick up the 58 or 90 but decided to just stay with the two pancakes and move on to some F series zooms as these two lenses seriously cover my needs for primes. Here's some more shots with my twins...
