You’re right, I do... it gets used a reasonable amount. I’ve realised I tend to sideline my excellent lenses to Daily-In challenge some of the more recent acquisitions.
the Single In Challenge does that to me...

The question for me is, does the Ultron 40/2 sit alongside a Nokton 40/1.2, or does it help fund it?
I've another couple of lenses I'd be comfortable enough to let go, but I don't know whether I'd need 2x 40mm. Or whether I'd end up opting for one over another.

for me, there need to be a significant difference between the 40's, to have the both...

I can't say that about all my lens purchases, but when there are larger amounts of money involved, I try to not duplicate too much...

just my nickel's worth of morning tripe...

I'm looking to get a 180/4, how are they holding up in the club? I'd like a handheld compact tele prime that I can throw in my bag on hikes. I think it comes down to either the Voigtlander 180, the A* Macro 200/4, or the F* 300/4.5. Any thoughts from my likely biased friends?

Voigtländer 180mm.
Very compact and +/- APO
not exactly comparable with a 300mm though.
and I wouldn't trow it either. it's rather expensive.

Haha, ok maybe 'lightly place it' in my camera bag is more appropriate. I'm in discussions to potentially purchase one now, and am looking forward to it.

As I'm currently on the edge on giving in to VL LBD (so far - just a desire), I thought I could meanwhile just cross-post one from my only Voitgländer lens here, from the Something Special About That Lens 'contest'.

just as an aside, you may want to consider an older option also - the Tamron Adaptall-2 SP 63B (180mm f2.5) is an excellent lens....

(yes, I know his question was six months ago)
